Human reproductive technologies and the way in which they are regulated will have a profound effect on the way we live our lives. Therefore, we would like to stress the importance of respecting other people's views, whatever their qualifications, and to encourage people from all walks of life to post messages and sustain the debate with relevant views and experiences that will help the Committee become better informed.
This is a genuinely ground-breaking initiative, and the contributions in the online forum will help the Committee to set the terms of reference for an inquiry into the future of the 1990 Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act. In summer 2004, the Committee will take evidence from key individuals and organizations.
If you want to see where we have got so far over the last few weeks of the consultation and to have a quick overview of the main points raised please check our weekly summaries page.
